Rainy weather friends and speckled hens

We are enjoying saying hello to the returning rains and goodbye to the dust. We recently returned from another trip to the southeastern corner of Cameroon. We had another worthwhile trip and were able to strengthen our relationships with the Baka people down that way. We also met with church leaders in the area to better assess how we can invest in the work that they are doing.

Some things we discovered along the way:

Saying goodbye to dust means saying hello to mud!

Brendan and Brianna still love camping and cooking over the fire.

You can play duck duck goose in Baka. Just change the words to bird, bird, frog and everyone has a good time. Here’s Brianna in the middle after getting tagged.

Brendan makes friends wherever he goes.

And enjoys whatever toys he can find.

Barry did too! This is me with the Baka chief (red sweater) of the village where we camped along with some others.

Our friend Motomo (center) was very happy to see us again.

Motomo loves his job as a church leader. Here he is leading the children in worship.

The students of the Baka Bible School have a wonderful vision for the future of the Baka church. Here they are with their wives and children. God is good!

The Baka give gifts to cute little girls. Here’s Brianna with her new chicken (in the basket), whom she lovingly named Famous Speckled Hen.
